WHAT IS VEDIC MEDITATION?

It’s not chanting, breathing or visualisation. It’s also not about sitting cross-legged on the floor, unless you want to.
To learn Vedic Meditation you will be seated comfortably in a chair and given a personalised mantra. The mantra is simply a sound we think inside the mind. The mantra sound has a charming quality which helps your mind settle. With each silent repetition of the mantra, it move’s the mind from busy surface thinking, down to deeper quieter states, until your mind transcends (stops thinking) and comes to a complete state of rest. Yes the mind can stop thinking. It’s called transcendence, and it’s your mind’s natural state. It just needs a tool to help it get there.
